The judges for the Business....
The judges for the Business Travel World Awards 2009 have been announced. Simon Barker of Conferma, Bernadette Basterfield of JP Morgan Chase, Greg Nugent of Eurostar and Peter Reglar of Ickenham Travel Group all come onto the panel for the first time. They join 2008 judges David Brown of Travelport, Andrew Solum of Travel Industry Associates, Richard Tams of British Airways, Floyd Widener of Carlson Wagonlit Travel and Ray Wooldridge of Bank of America.
The judging panel has been expanded to accommodate increased judging activity, details of which will be released when the 2009 Awards open to the public on Wednesday, 2 July.
Reglar is CEO of Ickenham Travel Group plc which includes Business Travel Direct, a top 50 TMC and has also played in pivotal role in the travel agency association Advantage. Simon Barker is the founder and chief executive of Conferma, the travel agency and hotel software and settlement solutions company which grew out of NIS Travel Management Solutions, the company that Barker was md of for 18 years. Basterfield is head of travel at J P Morgan Chase, winners of corporate travel management team in the 2008 awards and Nugent is head of marketing at Eurostar, which won the inaugural Environmental Ambassador award last year.
The 2009 Business Travel World Awards will be launched at a party for past winners, judges and sponsors at the Marriott West India Quay on Tuesday, 1 July. The 2009 website goes live on Wednesday, 2 July.
The winners of the 2009 Awards will be announced at a black-tie dinner at the Grosvenor House on Monday, 19 January. Go to book a table to secure your place on the night.
